Hey, engineers 👋

At Venture Harbour, we're on a mission to unlock growth in people, businesses & economies by solving the biggest challenges facing tomorrow's leading companies. To help us achieve that, we're looking for two engineers. But not just any engineer...

We're looking for the kind of person who is...

  • Wanting to do their best work - At Venture Harbour, we're proud to put our names to our work and we strive to wow.
  • Always learning - Whether you're the kind of person that reads other people's source code for fun, or enjoy a good code challenge, we're after engineers that know they can be better and are ready to get out of their comfort zone.
  • Resourceful - We're borderline obsessed with automation at Venture Harbour; It's how we've become the 22nd fastest-growing technology company in the UK with a small team and zero external investment. We pride ourselves in doing more with less and being resourceful.
  • Caring - Above all, we realise that work comes secondary to our personal lives, and we look for people who we know will look out for their colleagues when they need it.

If this sounds like the introduction that was made for you, then let's move onto a day in the life of a Venture Harbour engineer - shall we?

A typical day on the Venture Harbour engineering

Day-to-day, you'll be overseeing our development teams (both internal and external) while also getting your hands dirty with the code. You'll work closely with our Head of Product to understand the business' priorities, and then manage developers to get features & products shipped on time.

You should, therefore, possess strategic thinking and a strong ability to understand business needs and work to deadlines. As our ventures vary from year-to-year (and the tech stacks often change), you'll need to be well-versed in modern tech stacks, software project management and DevOps.
